JKEDI hosts sensitization workshop for govt. officials at Doda

DODA, AUGUST 12: Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) today conducted a sensitization workshop under J&K Startup Policy 2024-27 for the officials of various Government departments of district Doda.


The workshop, held at meeting hall, DC office Doda, saw participation from officers/officials of various departments including Industrial Technical Institute(ITI) , Social Welfare Department, Degree college , Government college Kastigharh, Cooperative Department, Employment Department, Horticulture Department, Agriculture Department, Animal Husbandry Department, Sheep Husbandry Department, District Industries Centre(DIC), Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) Doda among others.


The workshop was aimed at enhancing government official’s understanding of the J&K Startup Policy 2024-27 including the benefits under Startup JK and Startup India schemes. The officials were also sensitized on procurement of products and services from startups and organizing hackathons cum challenges to solve problems faced by the departments by seeking solutions from the startups.


The event featured a series of presentations and interactive sessions led by officials of JKEDI. The discussions focused on key aspects of the startup ecosystem including funding opportunities, regulatory frameworks and the role of government in fostering a supportive environment for startups.


The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Majid Manzoor Khan, Faculty, JKEDI, Shabir Majeed, District Nodal Officer, Doda, Tasneef Rasool, Assistant Faculty, Dr. Furqan Khan, Assistant Faculty and Abid Hussain, Office Associate.
