JKEDI hosts sensitization workshops for Govt officials at Poonch, Kishtwar
JAMMU, AUGUST 09: Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute JKEDI today conducted a sensitization workshop under J&K Startup Policy 2024-27 for the officials of various line departments of district Poonch and Kishtwar.
At Poonch, the workshop was held DC Office complex and saw participation from officers and officials of various departments including Sandesh Kumar Sharma, ADDC Poonch, Principal Degree College, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer and General Manager District Industries Centre, Poonch.
In Kishtwar, the workshop was attended by the Principal and faculty of Government Degree Colleges, ITI and Polytechnic College of Kishtwar, Chief Animal Husbandary Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer and Assistant Director DE&CC Kishtwar. Officers and officials of various line departments also attended the day-long workshop.
The workshops were aimed at enhancing government officials understanding of the J&K Startup Policy 2024-27 including the benefits under Startup JK and Startup India schemes. The officials were also sensitized on procurement of products and services from startups and organizing hackathons cum challenges to solve problems faced by the departments by seeking solutions from the startups.
The events featured a series of presentations and interactive sessions led by officials of JKEDI. The discussions focused on key aspects of the startup ecosystem including funding opportunities, regulatory frameworks, and the role of government in fostering a supportive environment for startups.
The workshop at Poonch was coordinated by Shabir Hussain Shah, District Nodal Officer, Poonch, Iftikhar Bashir Lone, Associate Project Manager, JKEDI and Rashid Mehmood, Office Associate.
At Kishtwar, the workshop was coordinated by Dr. Majid Manzoor Khan, Faculty, JKEDI and Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Kishtwar.
