JKPCC celebrates 77th year of Independence at Shahidi Chowk Jammu.

Let us dedicate ourselves in the service of Nation: Vikar Rasool Wani

Jammu August 15. Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Vikar Rasool Wani flanked by Working President Raman Bhalla and rank file of the Party unfurled the Tricolour in Jammu followed by National Anthem. Congress Leaders exchanged greetings and distributed sweets on this occasion while celebrating the 77^th Independence with great enthusiasm.

Speaking on the occasion, JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani greeted the Nation and rank file of the Congress Party on 77^th year of independence, terming the day as an outcome of the sacrifices given by the freedom fighters, who laid down their lives to achieve freedom to restore the dignity and honour of the Nation.

Wani hailed the great contributions of Congress Party to the freedom struggle and inclusive development of the country after Independence and said it is the Congress Party under first Prime Minister Pt.Jawahar Lal Nehru who took the prestige of the Nation to heights while building the Nation brick by brick.

He said the true Independence celebration is to respect the democratic institutions, which stands guarantees to people’s rights unity and harmony, but unfortunately the ruling dispensation  in the country has ruined the institutions to serve their vested interests and leave no stone unturned to use these to muzzle the genuine voices in order to his their anti-people and wrong policies.

The 77^th year of Independence should sent a message that India can no longer  afford to see that democratic institutions are weakened  or compromised for a particular person or party  and should be strengthened to ensure that the Constitution which allows freedom of speech and expression is further strengthened, which is the beauty of world’s largest democracy(India), Wani said

Salute to our freedom fighters whose sacrifices made the independence possible, our leaders who laid the foundation and build modern India, our kisans, mazdoors, doctor and teachers, who greatly contributed to progress of our country, Wani added and said let us dedicate ourselves in the service of Nation.

Former Legislators, PCC Office bearers, DCC Presidents, Frontals and prominent Party workers participated in the celebrations.
