JKSC organises Golden Age community event at Sopore
Also organise Run for health at Poonch to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas
SRINAGAR, JULY 27: Secretary J&K Sports Council (JKSC) Nuzhat Gull today visited Tulibal sports stadium Sopore and presided over Golden Age community event in which many senior citizens took part in various sports disciplines like Cricket ,Football and Badminton.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary said that citizens of Sopore are actively participating and engaging children in sports activities and the community has appreciated the steps taken to promote sports in Baramulla district.
During the event, the Secretary also interacted with participants who expressed gratitude to the administration and appreciated the efforts of the Sports Council for allotting three projects, two in Football and one Athletic track in the district.
Meanwhile, to commemorate the Kargil Vijay Diwas, Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council organised Run for health in collaboration with Army in Poonch. Apart from trainees of the Khelo India Boxing training centre, many locals participated in the run.
Similarly, My Youth My Pride sports activities reached Ramsoo Block of district Ramban where activities in the disciplines of Tug of war , Volleyball and Kabbadi were held at High School Ramsoo , Ramban. More than 300 hundred students drawn from different schools of Ramsoo block were present on the occasion.
