JKWDC holds awareness camp, loan Mela at Tujjer Baramulla
BARAMULLA, DECEMBER 21: The Jammu and Kashmir Women’s Development Corporation (JKWDC), in collaboration with Social Welfare Department Baramulla & Health Department, organized a one-day awareness camp and loan mela at Community Hall Tujjer Sopore, Baramulla.
The event, sponsored by National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC) under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, attracted over 300 women participants, eager to learn about welfare schemes, financial opportunities, and empowerment programs tailored to support women from backward classes.
The occasion was graced by the presence of District Manager JKWDC Baramulla Shabir Ahmad Wani, District Manager Shopian-Kulgam Mohammad Maqbool, Rafia Wali (Fiction Writer) Assistant Professor GDC Kreeri, Shafqat Majid Gender Specialist.
The initiative aimed to equip women with the knowledge and resources needed for self-reliance and economic independence.
Their insights and encouragement motivated attendees to leverage the available resources for their personal and professional growth.
The speakers on the occasion highlighted government sponsored initiatives while the program aimed to bridge gaps and ensure equitable access to financial support for women in the region.
This camp reaffirmed the commitment of JKWDC and NBCFDC in fostering women’s empowerment, financial inclusion, and social justice in Jammu and Kashmir.
