Job Fair at Samba: 155 candidates shortlisted for jobs, skill training courses
DC hands over keys of Commercial Vehicles to Mumkin Beneficiaries
SAMBA, JUNE 13: A job fair was today organised by the Directorate of Employment J&K through District Employment and counselling centre Samba in which more than 300 candidates participated and registered themselves as jobseekers in the private sector.
As many as 10 private sector companies, offering 180 jobs, besides 3 skill providing companies offering free training courses shortlisted 155 candidates for various jobs and skill training courses.
Deputy Commissioner, Abhishek Sharma inaugurated the job fair. He also handed over keys of commercial vehicles to the beneficiaries under the Mumkin scheme.
Interacting with the participants, the Deputy Commissioner advised the participating youth to improve their communication skills and adopt a more focused approach to achieve their career goals. He also directed the department to organize communication skill training courses and mock interviews for the participating candidates. ADDC, Rajinder Singh; AD Employment, Sulakshna Thakur ; CCO, Dushyant Singh were also present in the programme.
The Companies like RVS i Global, Prism Johnson Ltd, Zeiss Pharma , Quess Corporation, Jamkash Trucking, Pal Kia Motors etc offered jobs of IT engineers, instructors, customer relationship officer, quality control officer, Mechanical Engineers, Operator. Training partners like BSE, RSETI, HCL Tech BEE Evergreen Education Trust offered skill training courses to selected candidates for undergoing free training in computers, tailoring, beautician, mutual funds, stock exchange banking, Insurance. The youth were also provided information about the government sponsored self employment schemes like Tejeswini, Mumkin, Spurring entrepreneurship and motivated to become self employed and job creators themselves.
