Justice Nargal visits Kupwara, reviews functioning of Court Complex Kupwara
Inspects ongoing construction of new building of Court Complex
KUPWARA, JULY 13: Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal, Judge High court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (Administrative Judge district Kupwara) today visited the District Court Complex Kupwara and reviewed the ongoing construction work.
On his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Principal District & Session Judge Kupwara, Shazia Tabasum; Additional Session Judge P.O. Fast Track/NIA Court Kupwara, Khem Raj Sharma; Additional Session Judge Handwara, Umi Kulsoom; Sub Judge Kupwara/ (Secretary DLSA), Manzoor Ahmad Khan; Munsif Kupwara, Sogam and Tangdar. He was accompanied by Joint Registrar Judicial, Abdul Bari.
On the occasion, Guard of honour was presented to the chief guest by the district police Kupwara. Justice Nargal planted a tree in the Court premises. He also distributed wheelchairs and old age sticks and cheques among the beneficiaries. Besides, the Justice distributed sanitary napkins and vending machines among Higher Secondary Schools of Hatmullah and Halmatpora.
The Justice inspected live proceedings of different courts functioning in the Court Complex Kupwara.
He also inspected the ongoing construction of a new building of District Court Complex and stressed upon the concerned executing agency to ensure completion of the building within the stipulated time frame.
Later, Justice Nargal called a meeting with the heads of District Administration and stressed upon them to provide all required infrastructure like electricity, sitting arrangements for the litigants, water facility, Solar system, renovation of court buildings etc to District Judiciary so that the judicial officers do not face any difficulty in dispensing justice.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan; SSP Kupwara, Shobit Saxena; SSP Handwara, Davood Ayoub and ADC Kupwara, Mohammad Rouf Rehman were present in the meeting.
A separate meeting was also held with judicial officers of district Kupwara and instructions were conveyed to them to mitigate the problems of poor litigants by providing speedy justice to them.
Justice also held a meeting with the bar members and paid attention to their problems and assured them of placing their concern before the relevant wings.
Afterwards the Judge visited Handwara Court complex and issues pertaining to court building, lawyers chambers, litigants shed and residential quarters of the judicial officers were taken up with the administration.
