Karnataka BJP in celebration mode on party’s victory in Delhi polls
Bengaluru, Feb 8 (PTI) The BJP in Karnataka burst into celebration following the party’s thumping victory in Delhi assembly election.
The party said the people of Delhi have reposed faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
“This election result is a loss of face for former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal whose Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had come to power with anti-corruption as its poll plank. The defeat has exposed Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia,” BJP state president B Y Vijayendra said.
His father and former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa congratulated the BJP national president J P Nadda for the party’s resounding victory.
“Congratulations to our National President Shri @JPNadda Ji on the historic victory in the Delhi Assembly elections. After 27 years, BJP returns to power – a remarkable feat under the leadership of PM Shri @narendramodi Ji & your guidance as our party president,” he said in a post on ‘X’.
The win in Delhi reflects BJP’s deep connect with the people and its unmatched organisational strength, Yediyurappa noted.
“I congratulate you for galvanising tens of thousands of dedicated karyakartas, ensuring BJP remains a disciplined, mission-driven force. Their tireless efforts on the ground helped party’s message and policies to reach every household. A proud moment for the party and the nation,” he said.
The party workers distributed sweets at BJP’s state headquarters Jagannath Bhavan and burst crackers.
