Kathua Admin discusses modalities for shifting of Anganwadi Centres to Government buildings
18 new Model Anganwadi Centres to be set up in the district
KATHUA, JULY 06: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rakesh Minhas today chaired a meeting here in the Conference Hall of DC Office to discuss the roadmap for shifting/ establishment of Anganwadi Centres at the identified places in a phased manner.
ADC, Deepika Rana; PO, ICDS, Basharat Hussain, ACD, CEO and CDPOs attended the meeting.
It was given out in the meeting that a total of 615 Anganwadi centres, presently running from rented accommodations, are to be shifted in government buildings.
The Chief Education Officer Kathua said that as many as 346 Anganwadi centres can be accommodated in Government School buildings for which an exercise has already been done by his office.
PO ICDS Kathua informed the meeting that a total of 18 Model Anganwadi Centres are coming up in the district for which suitable land shall be required from district administration.
The DC directed CEO Kathua to work out modalities for establishing Model Anganwadi Centres in existing buildings of School Education. He further said efforts will be made to provide state land to establish Model Anganwadi centres.
