Kathua Admin hosting LG’s Special Governance camps for WPRs from May 1-4
Participants to get host of services, redressal of grievances
KATHUA, April 30: District Administration Kathua is going to convene LG’s Special Governance Camps for West Pakistani Refugees (WPRs) of 1947 from May 1-4 in Kathua, Nagri-Parole, Marheen and Hiranagar to extend handholding to the community members.
These camps are aimed to provide essential services to the WPRs, including documentation, healthcare, education and livelihood support.
As per the schedule, the camp in Tehsil Nagri-Parole will be held at Airwan, while in Tehsil Marheen the venue of the camp is Banquet Hall, Haria Chak.
Similarly, in Tehsil Kathua, the camp will be held at Office Building of Patwar Halqa, near District Employment & Counselling Centre Kathua.
Likewise, in Tehsil Hiranagar the venue of the camp is Town Hall Hiranagar. People can also contact the concerned Tehsil Office for all the details of the camps.
Through these camps WPR community will get an opportunity to interact with government officials and to learn about various welfare schemes and programs available for them. The camp will have special focus on Skill Development, Social Assistance, Self Employment, Financial Inclusion, besides guidance for sports and studies.
The District Administration has appealed to the West Pakistani Community residing in the district to attend the LG’s Special Governance Camp and take advantage of the services offered during the event.
