Kathua Administration discusses issues concerning GREF projects
KATHUA, February 27: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey today chaired a meeting of concerned officers here in the DC Office Complex to discuss issues of GREF.
The issues ranging from shifting of utilities viz water pipelines, shifting of electricity poles, cutting of trees besides smooth traffic regulations on under construction GREF roads were also discussed.
The OC 69 RCC highlighted the issue of forest clearance to which the DC directed DFO Social Forestry to expedite the process of forest clearance after fulfilling all the codal formalities.
Regarding the land acquisition of Haria Chak road, the DC directed SDM Hiranagar to provide Revenue Papers to GREF authorities, further directed XEN PDD and XEN PHE to submit utility Shifting plan and cost to go ahead with the process at the earliest.
The meeting also held detailed discussions on issues such as necessary clearances from concerned departments for Sukha Nala and approach road of Nagri Bridge.
The DC directed GREF authorities to ensure that all procedural formalities are fulfilled so that works could be taken up expeditiously without any hindrance.
The DC exhorted upon the stakeholder departments to work with synergy for making vital assets being executed by GREF in different parts of the district.
