Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, organises 3rd Hands-on Training on Information Technology in the series
Kathua, November 06: With the objective of fostering innovation and nurturing creativity within the youth of Kathua district, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, organised the 3rd hands-on training on information technology as a part of an ongoing educational series. As part of this programme, students from Government Higher Secondary School, Nagri Parole (Kathua), were given the opportunity to visit Kathua Campus (JU). The primary objective of this visit was to introduce these students to a higher educational institution, broaden their horizons, and inspire them to explore vocational trades, fostering self-reliance.
Professor Arvind Jasrotia, Rector, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, commended this initiative and underscored the significance of information technology awareness in today’s world. He also highlighted how the hands-on training would prove beneficial for students as they embark on their future endeavours. Prof. Jasrotia also shed light on the various initiatives introduced by the Government of India to promote innovation and creativity among the nation’s youth. He stressed the importance of cultivating the habit of acquiring new skills, as this contributes to structural transformation and economic growth, ultimately boosting employability and enhancing the country’s competitiveness.
Sh. Jatinder Sethi, Principal, Government Higher Secondary School, Nagri Parole, expressed his gratitude to Professor Arvind Jasrotia, Rector, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, for extending the opportunity to their students to visit Kathua Campus.
Dr. Sourabh Shastri, Incharge Head (Computer Science), Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, welcomed the participants and talked about various government initiatives pertaining to technology in the field of education.
Mr. Pranav Ratta, Dr. Sunny Sharma, and Er. Sandeep Raj Dr. Nisha Choudhary, Dr. Kanika Bhadwal, Ms. Archana Salaria, Er. Vishavjeet Singh, Er. Komal Khadotra, and Mr. Jewan Jot gave detailed presentations on the various topics.
Sh. Barinder Singh, Smt. Kiran Bala, and Mr. Amit Choudhary accompanied the students of Government Higher Secondary School Nagri Parole.
