Kathua edition of LG’s Special Governance camp for DPs of PoJK to be held on March 19
DC Kathua appeals community members to turn up and avail host of services, redressal of their genuine grievances
KATHUA, March 16: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Pandey today made fervent appeal to the Displaced Persons of Pakistan occupied Jammu Kashmir (PoJK) residing in the district to come up in large number at the maiden LG’s Special Governance Camp going to be held at Government Middle School, ward no 21, Chak Sheikhan, at District headquarters on March 19.
While throwing light on the initiative, the DC said the purpose of the event is to provide essential services to the displaced persons, including documentation, healthcare, education and livelihood support.
“The displaced persons will have an opportunity to interact with government officials and to learn about various welfare schemes and programs available to them. The camp will have special focus on Skill Development, Social Assistance, Self Employment, Financial Inclusion besides guidance for sports and studies” DC added.
DC Kathua exhorts all the displaced persons of PoJK residing in the district to attend the LG’s Special Governance Camp and take advantage of the services offered during the event.
“We are committed to providing support and assistance to the displaced persons of PoJK, and we believe that this event will help in achieving our goal,” said DC Kathua. “We invite all the displaced persons of PoJK residing in the district to attend the event and make the most of the services provided.”
The DC said “the District Administration is taking this event as an opportunity to undertake proper hand holding of all eligible beneficiaries from the families of Displaced Persons of PoJK so that the object of uplifting their socio-economic conditions can be achieved”.
Regarding the holding of Special Youth Awareness Camp by District Administration during LG’s Governance Camp, the DC said camp will be One Stop point where youth can avail self employment opportunities being offered under different departmental schemes and programmes of UT of JK and Government of India. He further appealed to the youth to turn up at the venue where success stories of young entrepreneurs will also be showcased.
