Kathua: ‘The Shuchita Sangram’ campaign inspires students with cleanliness drives and patriotic tributes
KATHUA, AUGUST 03: On the third day of the Shuchita Sangram campaign, under the ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada initiative, schools and colleges throughout Kathua District engaged in a series of impactful Cleanliness and Awareness drives.
These activities aimed to educate students on environmental stewardship and foster a sense of patriotism.
The day’s events were designed to teach students the importance of source segregation and to provide a comprehensive understanding of the waste management process. Participants learned about the harmful effects of plastic pollution and the need for sustainable waste practices, equipping them with the knowledge necessary to address environmental challenges effectively.
In addition to the cleanliness initiatives, plantation drives were held to encourage students to contribute to their community’s green cover. By planting ornamental and food plants, students discovered how they could enhance the beauty and ecological health of their surroundings, promoting a sustainable lifestyle.
A special segment of the day’s activities was devoted to remembering and honoring the martyred soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the country. Students participated in events that highlighted the courage and dedication of these heroes, reinforcing the values of patriotism and gratitude for the freedoms secured through their sacrifices.
The holistic activities carried out in Kathua District are part of a broader effort to shape responsible citizens who are aware of both their environmental responsibilities and the nation’s history. Through these initiatives, the Shuchita Sangram campaign aims to inspire young minds to become informed and conscientious future leaders.
