Kathua: VBSY reaches remote blocks of Dhar-Mahanpur & Baggan, panchayats of Kandi block Dinga-Amb
Vice chairperson DDC urges people to take maximum benefit of welfare programmes and schemes of govt
KATHUA, December 01: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra kicked off in the seven Panchayats of Block Dhar-Mahanpur, Baggan and Dinga-Amb of district Kathua, today.
The event witnessed enthusiastic response from PRI members and locals who gathered around the Information, Education and Communication (IEC) setup.
At Panchayat Chilakh-West, Vice-Chairperson District Development Council, Kathua Raghunandan Singh, ACD Kathua Kishore Singh Katoch, PRIs and numerous other prominent people attended the campaign.
The programme started with the National Anthem followed by Viksit Bharat Sankalp (pledge) to participants.
The Vice Chairperson, ACD along with other participants took part in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp camp to sensitize the people about the benefits of welfare and developmental schemes launched for their welfare.
The Vice Chairman DDC, in his address, appealed to people to take maximum benefit of the opportunity and enroll for the welfare programmes and schemes of the government targeting last mile potential beneficiaries as envisaged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
People listened keenly to the recorded message from the Prime Minister of India, emphasizing the campaign’s significance.
Simultaneously, the festivities featured a vibrant display of cultural events presented by local artists.
The yatra showcased different flagship schemes, including the Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana and PM PRANAM Yojana.
It was informed that the IEC Van will traverse through the district according to a pre-defined schedule. A combo of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials, the van aims to create public awareness about a myriad of Central Government schemes. The initiative aims to bring these transformative schemes closer to the people and foster a spirit of development and progress.
