Kavinder acknowledges Maharaja Hari Singh’s role in integration of J&K with Bharat

Sanjita highlights significance of Accession Day

JAMMU, October 26: BJP Mahila Morcha, J&K, today celebrated the Accession Day with great zeal and enthusiasm at Maharaja Hari Singh Statue at Tawi Bridge by paying glorious tributes to the great Maharaja.

Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister acknowledged the pivotal role played by Maharaja Hari Singh in integrating Jammu and Kashmir with the rest of India. He praised the Maharaja for his historic decision to sign the Instrument of Accession, a momentous act that forever linked the region with the Indian Union.
Kavinder emphasized that the people of the Jammu region are eternally grateful to Maharaja Hari Singh for his significant contribution to the nation. He noted that despite the Maharaja’s crucial role in shaping the destiny of Jammu and Kashmir, successive regimes had regrettably failed to adequately honor his memory and his contributions to the state.
He attributed that the free atmosphere of present J&K is the great vision of Maharaja Hari Singh and added that the present dispensation under PM Modi strengthened J&K and the country.
Sanjita Dogra, State President Mahila Morcha said that the whole J&K is celebrating this Day as it has come after supreme sacrifices by nationalist forces in the erstwhile State of J&K. “Vijay Diwas is like Republic and Independence Day for us as this was the Day when the Maharaja Hari Singh took a bold and historic decision and made J&K an integral part of India. She added that the Instrument of Accession signed by Maharaja was full and final in which he united the whole of Jammu & Kashmir with the rest of India.
Munish Sharma, All Morcha Prabhari remembered the important role played by the Maharaja Hari Singh and chain of events during the unification of J&K with dominion of India and the negative role of the then Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru and Sheikh Abdullah.
Anuradha Charak State Vice president and Prabhari Mahila Morcha,and Parmod kapahi also spoke on the occasion .
During momentous celebrations BJP Mahila Morcha activists participated with great fervour by lighting eathern lamps and candles in front of the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh.
