Kavinder for timely wages to 2211-head employees
Kavinder Gupta, RS Pathania listens to the public grievances
JAMMU May 16:While meeting with a delegation of J&K Medical Employees Federation, Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, called for timely release of salary of the employees of Family Welfare Deptt (2211-head).
These employees are without pay since the past six months. Unlike rest of country and even UT of Ladakh, these employees depend on funds from GOI. Whereas in rest of the country, states/UTs are directly bearing their salaries.
Gupta further said that right to timely wages is itself a fundamental right. It needs to be reinforced with fullest strength and grave in J&K too.
Ranbir Singh Pathania, former MLA & J&K BJP Spokesperson, was particular about timely and fair compensation for acquired lands. He was canvassing for land compensation of people whose lands have been taken over by various departments for execution of public projects. And since decades, their land compensation files are gathering dust in obscure shelves of offices. He further focussed on new techniques and best practices as to how we could redress the public issues in a more efficacious way.
He was critical of non-start of work on Kirchi to Seoj Dhar. A multi crore road from Dudu-Kirchi to Dhar Seoj was proposed and sanctioned u/PMGSY. Work on the same was also started almost five years back but same could not be taken up due to some ecological concerns raised by the department of forests. Now that, the department of PMGSY in liaison with the department of Forests have identified an alternative location which lessens the length of the road by as many as five kilometers and as many as 500 trees also could be saved. But project still hangs midway.
Amongst other general issues pertaining to compassionate appointments, verifications, ex-gratia to accident victims, relief to militancy victims, proper convening of Gram Sabhas, drinking water and electricity issues, augmentation of stations, building permissions, staff shortage, proper voltage electricity, were projected by a number of deputations who called on in the BJP office with references and telephone calls to concerned officials.
