KC PUBLIC SCHOOL ORGANIZES ANNUAL SPORTATHON 2024

The Annual Sportathon 2024 of KC Public School was conducted on the multi-sports ground of the school today morning at 8.30 AM. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Prof. (Dr.) Kulwant Singh, former Controller of Examination & former Head of Law Department, University of Jammu and currently Principal of KC Law College, Jammu. In his welcome address, Principal AK Mishra thanked the Chief Guest for sparing his valuable time for the event and inspiring the young athletes with his benign presence.

The event commenced with hoisting of the national flag by the Chief Guest followed by the national anthem. Thereafter, an oath-taking ceremony was conducted by the school Sports Captain which concluded with a well-rehearsed march past by senior and junior contingents from the four Houses of the school.

After the opening ceremony, several track events such as short and long sprints and relay races were conducted under junior and senior age categories for both boys and girls. In between these events, impressive displays of mass PT and martial arts were presented before the attentive audience.

After the completion of the athletic events, a brief prize distribution ceremony was conducted in which the Chief Guest distributed trophies and certificates to the winners. In his address to the audience, the Chief Guest appreciated the participants for their excellent performance and wished them success in their future athletic endeavours.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sanjay Pandey, Vice Principal of the school.
