KC Public School Wins City Round of INTACH Quiz
JAMMU, October 10: KC Public School emerged victorious in the city round of the INTACH quiz held at Jodhamal Public School on October 9, 2024. The quiz organized by the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), saw participation from more than twenty schools across Jammu.
INTACH has been organizing the Heritage Quiz since 2014. The quiz is envisaged as a learning experience for students and through each quiz, knowledge about INTACH and its scope of work in the field is shared with the students to encourage the spirit of volunteerism and activism in them. The city rounds of the quiz are followed by the state round and the national round which is held in Delhi subsequently.
The quiz is conducted in the local language and English as well to enhance its outreach. This year’s quiz started with a written round which was based on a question Sheet with 20 questions (12 National, 3 on INTACH and 5 Local Heritage based questions) which were given to each team.
The written round was followed by oral rounds consisting of questions based on State and India. The team from KC Public School comprising of Nirnay Raina and Vandita Raina displayed exceptional knowledge and understanding of Indian heritage, culture, and history, outshining the competition and securing the top spot. The team was mentored by Ms. Saila Bano, the quiz incharge of the school.
The victory at the city round of the INTACH quiz reflects the academic excellence and well-rounded education offered at KC Public School. The school’s emphasis on holistic development, critical thinking, and cultural awareness has prepared its students to excel in various academic competitions and challenges.
Chairman Raju Chowdhary, Vice Chairman Arjun Chowdhary, MD Arti Chowdhary, Principal Amarendra Kumar Mishra and Vice Principal Sanjay Pandey congratulated the team and wished them luck for the regional round.
