KCPS Delegates Excel At Jodhamal Youth Conclave 2024

Jammu, Aug 27: 8 students from KC Public School, namely, Shreedha Gupta, Pranay Sharma, Suhas Koul, Kaavin Bhushan, Adhiraj Mahajan, Aarav Singh, Divyanshi Rajput and Achyut Khajuria participated in 7th edition of JYC held at Jodhamal Public School from Aug 23 to 25. The three days’  conference featured 7 committees including Lok Sabha, SPECOL (Special Political and Decolonization Committee), ICIJSC (International Consortium Of Investigative Journalism Special Corps), UNW (UN Women), AIPPM (All India Political Party Meet), IP (International Press) and CPH (Concilium Prospere Hindustan).

Each committee addressed national and international issues and their agendas covered a wide range of topics including SPECPOL which focused on colonialism in the contemporary world with an emphasis on Chinese hegemony in the Asia-Pacific and the Israel-Palestine territorial dispute. Lok Sabha deliberated on measures of decoloniality in India post-independence. AIPPM reviewed electoral reforms with a focus on The CEC and other Election Commissioners Bill, 2023. UN Women addressed gender equality barriers with an emphasis on international conventions like CEDAW and the Istanbul Convention. ICIJSC, a classified committee, and IP captured the event.

Many leading schools like JK Public School, GD Goenka School, Jammu Sanskriti, Delhi Public School Udhampur, KC International School and the host Jodhamal Public School participated in the conference. KCPS delegates delivered an outstanding performance with Suhas Koul winning Outstanding Delegate Award and Praney Sharma winning a Special Mention in Lok Sabha. Kaavin Bhushan secured a Special Mention in UN WOMEN. Aarav Singh received a Verbal Mention in SPECPOL (Special Political and Decolonization Committee). Achyut Khajuria earned a Verbal Mention in CPH (Concilium Prospere Hindustan).

Chairman Raju Choudhary, Vice Chairman Arjun Choudhary, MD Arti Choudhary, Principal  A K Mishra and Vice Principal Sanjay Pandey commended the delegates for their participation in the event.
