KCPS students organize marathon for charitable purpose
Jammu Nov 5: Students of KC Public School under the guidance of their teacher Jaya Somal Chowdhary organized a remarkable event on November 5, 2023, known as the ‘Meraki Marathon’. This fund raising event for charity showcased the dedication, creativity, and passion of the students in organizing a healthy and meaningful experience for all participants.
The ‘Meraki Marathon’ was graced by the esteemed presence of Chandeep Sudan as the Guest of Honour. The other special guests present on the occasion were Principal of KC Public School Amarendra Kumar Mishra, Vice Principal Sanjay Pandey, Headmistress Sofia Rana and the famed RJ Aryan.
Mr. Sudan’s presence added a significant charm to the event, inspiring the participants with his words of encouragement and support for the young talents. Being a taekwondo athlete and turning his disability into an advantage, he proved to be an inspiration for all present at the event.
The marathon, which brought together students, teachers, and community members, consisted of three running distances, namely, 3KM, 5KM and 10KM. Participants of all ages from children to adults took part in the event with excitement and enthusiasm.
The champions in their respective categories have established a new benchmark for all future athletes to strive for. The event was not just about physical endurance but also about fostering a sense of togetherness and community spirit. With the support of sponsors, volunteers, and the entire school community, the ‘Meraki Marathon’ was a resounding success.
Jaya Somal Chowdhary expressed her gratitude to all the students for their hard work and dedication in organizing this event. She stated that Meraki Marathon exemplifies the exceptional talent and teamwork of our students and that she is very proud of their commitment towards making the event a success.
The event left participants and spectators with a sense of accomplishment and unity which is bound to serve as a benchmark for future community events organized by the students of KC Public School.
