Kerala Congress chief K Sudhakaran appears before ED in fake antiquity scam

Kochi (Kerala) [India], August 22 (ANI): Kerala Congress chief and Kannur MP K Sudhakaran on Tuesday appeared before the Enforcement Directorate for questioning on his alleged financial dealings in fake antiquities selling scam.

ED is questioning him for his suspected role in money laundering.

“I have done nothing wrong, so I am not afraid of being questioned If I wanted to do corruption, I could have done it long ago. When I was the Forest Minister, I have received so many offers and I have not given in to any of them. Questioning me will not affect Puthupally elections. ED has not yet given notice to anyone in my family,” he said.

Further, speaking about his party, the Congress, Sudhakaran said there are no problems in the state unit.

He added that Chandy Oommen, son of late former chief minister and Congress stalwart Oommen Chandy, will win the impending Puthupally Assembly by a thumping majority.

Puthupally bypoll is scheduled for September 5, with result expected to be announced on September 8.
