Khour to Miran Sahib; Panchayats across Jammu welcome VBSY
JAMMU, December 22: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide campaign aimed at raising awareness about government schemes and delivering benefits directly to citizens, reached several panchayats of the district and brought information and resources to people’s doorsteps.
The Yatra today arrived at Municipal Committee Khour, Ward 10, where representatives from various departments set up stalls to provide information and distribute pamphlets and posters.
Cultural activities by students of Government Girls High School Khour welcomed the Yatra, highlighting the message of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”. Sectoral officers delivered awareness talks about various government schemes, including healthcare, housing, social welfare, agriculture, education, and more. On-spot registration for programmes like PM Vishwakarma and other online services was also facilitated.
Similarly in block Jourian, the Yatra camped at Government Girls High School Jourian, at MC Jourian, and saw enthusiastic participation from locals and representatives from various departments. The programme, supervised by Executive Officer Subash Chander, featured a recorded message from the Prime Minister and comprehensive briefing on beneficiary-oriented schemes.
The camp focussed on Jal Jeevan Mission initiatives, offering guidance and support for addressing water challenges. Direct benefits were provided to citizens, and informative sessions were held by experts on agriculture, horticulture, health, and other relevant topics. Officials from the Health Department also briefed the public about healthcare schemes and the Yatra’s goals.
Similar events were held in other panchayats including panchayat Tanda in block Miran Sahib, Serh in block Kharah Balli and Bandwal in Bhalwal Brahmana.
