Kisan Sampark Abhiyan: Agriculture, Allied Departments Kickstart 3-Day Training in Kishtwar to empower Farmers

KISHTWAR, April 24: The Agriculture and Allied Sector departments, under the overall supervision of District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav, have initiated the first phase of 3-day training cum orientation programme in the district under the extensive Kisan Sampark Abhiyan launched as part of Holistic Agriculture Development Programme.

The programme was launched in 7 designated Panchayats of the district under the close supervision of district officers of Agriculture and Allied Sector including CAO Amjad Hussain Malik ( District Nodal Officer HADP Kishtwar ) and others Officers/ Officials of Line departments.

BDC members, DDC members, and local PRIs participated in the training, along with a massive number of farmers.

The first phase of the training programme will take place from 24th-26th April 2023 in 7 panchayats including BT-Ist, BhagnaA, Shandari, Agral, Dadpeth, Chatroo upper, Palmar.

This will be followed by a 3 Day training orientation programme covering all the 136 panchayats of the district by 31st August in a phased manner.

In the training programme the farmers were provided with technical knowledge on modern farming sectors and how to enhance their income by availing the centrally and UT sponsored schemes in agriculture and allied sectors.

 Field functionaries of agriculture and other allied departments educated farmers about beneficiary schemes related to their departments.

Centrally sponsored schemes were also discussed, and pamphlets depicting the same were distributed among the farmers besides promotional video clips were also filmed in the programme.

The programme aims to empower farmers and promote agriculture in the UT in general and in district Kishtwar in particular.
