Kishtwar: Agriculture Department organises awareness camp at panchayat Chamoti
KISHTWAR, March 29: A farmer awareness camp was held at panchayat Chamoti by Agriculture Department today, where more than 30 farmers from different villages participated. The camp provided farmers with information on the latest practices for Kharif crops and different schemes of the agriculture department. Kharif vegetable seeds were also sold at a 50% subsidy rate under the intensive vegetable scheme.
Speeches were delivered by Agriculture Extension Assistant, Yasir Aftab Mughal, Agriculture Extension Officer, Ampy Singh and Junior Agriculture Extension Officer, Ajay Chandra. They discussed the significance of organic farming, judicious use of fertiliser, and natural farming.
The camp was organised by direction of Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Sahil Gandotra and under the overall supervision of Chief Agriculture Officer, Amjed Hussain Mallik. The aim was to promote agriculture and spread awareness among farmers.
