Kishtwar: DLIC approves fresh applications under Mission Youth Schemes

KISHTWAR, OCTOBER 19: District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan today chaired the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) meeting to review applications under the Mission Youth Schemes including Mumkin, Tejaswini and Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative.


General Manager DIC Phulail Singh; AD Employment Mamta Sudarshan; ARTO Saleem Manhas; LDM Harsh Rawal; Employment Officer Vinod Shant; representative from JK Bank Lovemeet Parihar and representatives from JKEDI and DSWO attended the meeting.


The committee reviewed a total of 134 applications viz 46 applications under Mumkin, 18 applications under Tejaswini and 72 applications under Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative.


The Committee approved all applications under the Mumkin and Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative schemes, while it approved only 16 applications under Tejaswini.


The DDC emphasized the importance of these schemes for youth empowerment and entrepreneurship within the district. He asked to streamline the application process through proper refining, connecting applicants with the relevant schemes and ensure timely fund disbursement.


Additionally, he instructed the Committee to identify and address any obstacles delaying the implementation of the schemes.


Highlighting the role of Bankers and the Employment Department and other stakeholders in the effective implementation of Self-employment schemes , the DDC called for the creation of a comprehensive monitoring mechanism to track the progress of approved cases, ensuring transparency and accountability in the Judicious utilization of resources.


Earlier, R K Shavan interacted and interviewed some of the applicants to assess their knowledge about the terms, conditions of credit linked schemes and benefits offered under the Mumkin, Tejaswini and Spurring Entrepreneurship schemes.
