Kishtwar gears up for implementation of AVSAR Scheme
DC discusses action plan with stakeholder departments
KISHTWAR, October 27: The District level Task Force for implementation of AVSAR Scheme today discussed the action plan for the promotion of the program here at a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC), Dr. Devansh Yadav.
ADDC, Sham Lal; AD Employment/ALC, Idrees Lone, DSWO, Zubair Ahmed; Accounts Office, Imran Ahmed Kitchloo; Chief Education Officer, Prahlad Bhagat; Principal ITI, Anoop Sharma, Young Professional Vijay Yadav, along with officials from ITI and Polytechnic College Kishtwar attended the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, the DC asked the stakeholders to focus on achieving tangible employment-oriented outcomes through the AVSAR program. It was decided that surveys will be conducted to assess their career orientations and interests among youth thereby aiding in the design of courses tailored to their needs.
Dr. Yadav further urged the stakeholders to consider a wide array of career options, including CLAT (Law), CAT (Management), CUET (Common University Entrance Test), NDA (Defense), Chartered Accountant (CA), Nursing, in addition to Civil Services, NEET, and JEE. He emphasized the importance of providing resources and guidance to empower the youth to pursue these diverse career paths.
The DC stressed the need for comprehensive updates to the youth database and the submission of a robust action plan to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of the AVSAR program in the district.
It is pertinent to mention here that, The AVSAR program, purposefully designed, serves as a critical bridge connecting the region’s youth with market-oriented skills and employability. It plays a vital role in linking the local talent pool with corporate, national, and multinational enterprises. The overarching objective is to bridge the gap between industry requirements and the skilled youth in the area, thereby driving economic growth and socio-economic empowerment.
AVSAR encompasses a comprehensive set of initiatives, including Skill Development, Soft Skills training, Career Guidance, Job Melas, Industry-Academia collaboration, and the establishment of a professional exam study center. Through these services, the program seeks to equip young individuals with the necessary tools and knowledge to thrive in the job market.
