Kolkata man arrested with banned drugs, cash in Katra; FIR lodged
In a continued effort to curb drug trafficking, the Reasi Police apprehended one person in possession of illegal substances during a routine check in Katra town.
The accused, identified as Babai Halder from Kolkata, was found with 7 strips of Alprazolam tablets, a total of 70 tablets, and Rs 40,000 in cash. A case (FIR No. 81/2024) under sections 8, 21, and 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at the Katra Police Station.
