Kulgam as part of TB district Anantnag declared TB-free district

DC Kulgam complements & felicitates NTEP staff.

KULGAM, MARCH 23:  District Kulgam has been declared as Tuberculosis (TB) free district and has achieved a unique feat two years ahead of National Target. Pertinently, District kulgam is  a part of TB District Anantnag which obtained Gold. 

Following the National ambitious goal of achieving TB Free India by 2025, District Kulgam is privileged to hit the milestone two years ahead of National target.

While speaking about the achievement, the Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat said that  District Kulgam has always earned laurels in the NTEP activities be it Har Ghar Dastak, ACF, ACSM campaigns, community engagement, prompt diagnostic & Treatment Services.

The DC complimented anti-TB medical officials of Kulgam for achieving the target  two years ahead of the National target.  He said that the tireless efforts of District administration  have paid off today and that it is pride movement  that the  district has been cleared of this deadly disease.

Meanwhile, central government alzo awarded the District administration for achieving the feat of making the district TB Free.

On behalf of both of the districts, the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag is now  scheduled to attend the award ceremony tomorrow at Varanasi.

Meanwhile the Deputy Commissioner today felicitated National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme staff here at Mini-Secretariat Kulgam.
