KVIB Ramban organises awareness program at ITI Kawbagh
RAMBAN, DECEMBER 23: An awareness program on self-employment schemes was organized today by the Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) here at ITI Kawbagh. The event saw active participation from SBI RSETI Ramban and the District Industries Centre (DIC) Ramban, along with local aspiring entrepreneurs and trainees.
The program aimed to educate participants about the government schemes designed to support entrepreneurship and skill development.
Speaking on the occasion, Director SBI RSETI Harvinder Singh, highlighted the institute’s role in imparting free skill training and entrepreneurship development programs to empower local youth. He encouraged participants to register for training programs at RSETI to enhance their skills and start their entrepreneurial journey.
Field Official from DIC Bansi Lal provided detailed insights into the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and the newly launched PM Vishwakarma Scheme, emphasizing the financial and technical support available for artisans and micro-entrepreneurs.
District Officer KVIB Farooq Baba elaborated the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP). He explained how the scheme helps rural youth and traditional artisans establish sustainable businesses by offering financial assistance and subsidies.
The program concluded with an interactive session, where participants raised queries and received guidance on availing of these schemes. Such initiatives are pivotal in fostering awareness and promoting self-reliance among the youth of Ramban.
