KVK-Anantnag holds Valedictory Function of two Skill programmes
ANANTNAG, FEBRUARY 26: KVK-Anantnag, SKUAST-Kashmir Monday hosted the valedictory function for two skill programs sanctioned under MSME and STRY, marking a significant milestone in empowering individuals with knowledge and expertise.
The training session on awareness and popularization of Area Specific Mineral Mixture among the livestock owners of District Anantnag an e-MDP sanctioned under MSME, GOI is aimed at enhancing livestock productivity and welfare.
Additionally, the (6+1) Skill Training of Rural Youth (STRY) training programme on Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Value Addition of Horticulture crops was conducted focused on fostering entrepreneurship and value addition in horticulture crops.
Prof. Zahoor Ahmad Pampori, chief guest on the occasion, delivered an enlightening lecture on Management of Livestock during heat and cold stress. His insightful discourse emphasized the importance of precision livestock farming for sustainable livestock health and productivity.
Dr. Ishtiyaq A. Khan, Head, KVK-Anantnag emphasized the importance of such training initiatives in enhancing and strengthening the district’s skilled manpower.
He reiterated KVK-Anantnag’s commitment to uplifting the socio-economic conditions of resource-poor farmers by nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit through knowledge and skill empowerment.
The programmes, spanning over seven days, feature a diverse range of activities including lectures by experts, practical handouts and exposure visits. This concerted effort by KVK-Anantnag signifies a pivotal step towards fostering sustainable development and prosperity in rural communities.
