KVK Jammu starts 15 Day Integrated Nutrient Management certificate course
JAMMU, JUNE 01: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Jammu, working under the administrative control of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu and under able leadership of Prof. S. K. Gupta, Director Extension, SKUAST-Jammu, today started a 15 day certificate course on “Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) for Input dealers.” Rural youth, progressive farmers, members of co-operative societies and FPOs from different districts of Jammu Division will participate.
At the outset, Dr. Punit Choudhary, Chief Scientist and Head, KVK Jammu welcomed the Chief agriculture Officer, SDAO and other officers of line department and participants for the programme. He apprised that the Agri-input dealers in the country are a prime source of farm information to the farming community, besides the supply of inputs and credit. Speaking on the occasion Vinod Kumar Kundal, Chief Agriculture Officer, Jammu appreciated the efforts of KVK Jammu for conducting this certificate course on INM for new input dealers. During his interaction with the participants, he guided them how to apply online for the retail and wholesale fertilizer licence and educated the participants regarding various documents, which are required for filling online application. He also addressed various queries raised by them. Dr. Muneeshwar Sharma, Scientist Plant Protection, KVK Jammu gave a brief description and outline of the course and elaborated upon objective of conducting this certificate course. Smt. Anshu, District Officer, Jammu, Sh. Ashwani Sharma, SDAO R. S. Pura, Sh. Arun Jaral, District SMS also put forth their views during the programme.Dr. Sheetal Badyal, Sr. Scientist Home Science and Dr. Prem Kumar, Scientist Fisheries, addressed the participants regarding various activities of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra Jammu being run for the farming community of District Jammu. Dr. Amitesh Sharma, Scientist Plant Breeding, Dr. Raju Gupta, Programme Asssistant Farms and Er. Ashish Katoch, Programme Assistant Computers also helped in the smooth conductance of the Programme.The Programme concluded by vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Raju Gupta.
