Labour Commissioner conducts public outreach camp in Industrial District Samba

SAMBA, DECEMBER 27: Labour Commissioner Charandeep Singh today conducted an extensive visit to District Samba to assess labour conditions and engage directly with factory workers in the industrial hub.


The visit included a public outreach program organized at Labour Sarai Phase 3, SIDCO Complex, which saw active participation from factory workers and their representatives.


The Labour Commissioner, accompanied by Assistant Labour Commissioner Samba Himani Jerath, focused on generating awareness about labour laws and their implementation. The interactive session provided a platform to workers to voice their concerns and seek immediate redressal of their grievances.


“Our primary objective is to ensure that every worker is aware of his rights and has access to prompt grievances redressal mechanism,” said Labour Commissioner Singh adding “Through such direct interactions, we aim to bridge the gap between the administration and the workforce.”


The event proved instrumental in addressing several grievances on the spot, demonstrating the department’s commitment to worker welfare and industrial harmony in the region.
