Labour Department Udhampur releases financial assistance for registered workers
UDHAMPUR, August 10: To mark the celebration of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur released an amount of Rs. 29,51,500/ as education assistance in favour of the wards of the registered Construction workers under Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board(BOCWWB) schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC asked the Labour Department to register a maximum number of eligible Workers to enable them to avail the financial assistance under BOCWWB schemes. He said that the economic and social security of the labour class is the priority of the government.
Pradyot Gupta, Assistant Labour Commissioner briefed that the main objective of BOCWWB scheme is to assist the registered workers by providing financial assistance under different components.
Meanwhile, Mazdoor Dastkar Union Udhampur in co-ordination with the Labour department Celebrated “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” at Vishwakarma Mandir. Pradyot Gupta, Assistant Labour Commissioner, the chief guest, flagged off a “Tiranga rally” in presence of S.Lakhvinder Singh, Subha President and Darshan Kumar, District President Mazdoor Dastkar Union Udhampur, Bansi Lal Sharma, district vice-president, A.A. Bhatti (Labour Officer), and other staff of the labour department.
