Lady drug smuggler booked under NDPS Act by Baramulla police
In a significant development aimed at curbing illicit drug trade, the Baramulla Police have booked a notorious lady drug smuggler, identified as Farhat Begum, also known as Fancy, wife of Rayees Ahmad Khan and a resident of Trikanjan in Boniyar.
The arrest was made under the Prevention of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act.

Farhat Begum, allegedly notorious for her involvement in narcotics smuggling, was apprehended following a targeted investigation by law enforcement agencies.
Her detention marks a significant stride in the ongoing battle against drug trafficking in the region. Upon her apprehension, Farhat Begum was swiftly brought before legal authorities and subsequently remanded to Central Jail Srinagar.
