Last Day of Ladakh Education Fair 2023 themed Education for Sustainable Future held at GDC Nubra
Leh, August 25: The last day of Ladakh Education Fair 2023 themed ‘Education for Sustainable Future’ was held at Govt Degree College Diskit, Nubra today.
Brigadier, 102 Infantry, Himanshu Hatkar was the chief guest and Colonel Jawed Ahmed was present as Guest of Honour during the occasion.
Chief Guest in his speech congratulated everyone for organising such an event for the students. He emphasised on focusing on academics as well as co-curricular activities and encouraged the students to take full advantage of the education fair.
Earlier welcome speech was delivered by Principal GDC Nubra.
Resource Persons of the day were President, Wildlife Conservation and Birds Club of Ladakh (WCBCL), Lobzang Vishudda who briefed on career in Photography whereas Jigmet Rabstan (KAS) delivered a speech about career in Administrative services.
Major N Shriram talked about career opportunities in Defence and Tashi Angchok Amche spoke about the relevance of herbal medicine and local medicine.
Ghulam Mohd an educator, spoke on career in teaching as well as the role of a teacher in society.
Additionally, stalls of science models, distance education scholarship, sports equipment, and books were displayed by Higher Secondary School (HSS) Diskit; HSS Partapur; HSS Hunder; Agriculture Department; Horticulture Department; J&K Bank and Women’s Association Diskit.
Colourful cultural programme was also presented by the students of GDC Nubra.
