LDO Leh urges cooperation for successful FMD vaccination

Leh, June 24: With the onset of mass Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccination 2023-24 throughout the country, FMD vaccination in the Leh district under National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) was flagged-off by Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Leh, Dr. Stanzin Rabgais on June 23 at Disease Investigation Office, Skara Leh.

Accordingly, Livestock Development Officer Leh, Dr. Shakil Ahmad, deputed the field-veterinary officials of the Livestock Development Office at different villages under LDO jurisdiction for mass FMD vaccination, in the presence of doctors and para veterinarians, scheduled to commence from June 26.

To achieve the targeted population and successful FMD vaccination in the district, LDO Leh Shakil Ahmed urged all the Hon’ble Councillors, Sarpanches, and Numbardars of different constituencies and villages to cooperate with the field veterinarians of the Animal Husbandry Department, Leh.
