Legal Metrology B’pora conducts Market checking, realises fine of Rs.5500

BANDIPORA, March 4: The Department of Legal Metrology Bandipora on Saturday conducted Market checking in the areas of Prang, Madwan and adjacent areas.

The checking was conducted by the team of officials of Legal Metrology under the supervision of Assistant Controller Legal Metrology.

The team inspected various traders and 8 shopkeepers were found violating the Legal Metrology laws. The defaulters were booked on spot and a composition sum of Rs 5500 was imposed against them.

The team apprised the traders regarding the online services of the department and also verified online application of 25 traders for weighing and measuring instruments.
