LMD organises awareness camp at Gangyal

 JAMMU, FEBRUARY 08: An awareness-cum-interaction programme was organised today by the Legal Metrology Department, in collaboration with the Association of Industries (Regd.) Gangyal, here at AOI Bhawan, Gangyal. The event was hosted on the instructions of Controller Legal Metrology Department Anuradha Gupta.

The Legal Metrology team led by Deputy Controller, Consumer Protection Jammu apprised the members of the necessity and benefits of compliance with the Legal Metrology Act.

The interactive meeting was presided over by President of the Association Virendra Jain and attended by Sandeep Ohri (Vice President), Sanjay Langar (General Secretary), Ajay Mahajan (Secretary), Jatinder Singh (Treasurer), among others. A large number of unit holders participated, raising queries that were addressed by the Legal Metrology team to their full satisfaction.

Virendra Jain requested the Deputy Controller to organize a registration camp for the members at AOI Bhawan. It was informed that LMD shall continue to organise such programmes at mutually decided venues to encourage voluntary compliances to the Legal Metrology Act and rules made there under. The participants  agreed that members of the Association would cooperate with the department for the verification of weighing scales at their premises.
