M.K Ajatshatru Singh expresses grief over loss of lives in Doda accident

JAMMU, Nov 15: M.K Ajatshatru Singh, senior BJP leader and former Transport Minister today expressed grief over the loss of lives in an accident in Doda in which 38 people died and 17 were injured after their bus fell into a gorge near Trungal in Assar area of district Doda.

In a statement issued today, Ajatshatru Singh prayed for peace to the departed souls and fortitude to the bereaved families. He also prayed for speedy recovery of the injured and impressed upon the divisional administration to ensure the affected families get relief and adequate ex gratia.

The senior BJP leader asked the government to ensure all possible help to the injured passengers and best possible treatment free of cost. He sought that the government should provide specialized treatment to the injured at Jammu or any other place outside J&K.

He said that the frequency of accidents in the region has seen extraordinary spurt therefore the LG Manoj Sinha should activate mechanisms to put an end to such fatal incidents as human lives are precious and shouldn’t be allowed to perish in this manner.
