Mahashivratri celebrated with traditional fervour in Dharmarth Trust temples

M.K Ajatshatru, Kunwarani Ritu Singh perform traditional Pooja at Purmandal, Utter Behni

JAMMU, February 18: Mahashivratri was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety in all the temples and shrines of J&K Dharmarth Trust.

Various temples falling under the realm of J&K Dharmarth Trust including Shree Ranbireshwar Temple Jammu, Umapati Mahadev Temple in Purmandal, Abhimukteshwar Temple in Utterbehni (Samba), Shankaracharya Temple in Srinagar; Shiv Temple Arnas, Sudhmahadev in Ramnagar, Shiv Temple Ramban, Shiv Temple in Satwari, etc witnessed huge rush of devotees.

Earlier in the day, Trustee J&K Dharmarth Trust and former minister, M.K Ajatshatru Singh along with his wife Kunwarani Ritu Singh and Trust’s President, Sr Advocate Ajay Gandotra visited Umapati Mahadev Temple in Purmandal performed traditional Pooja and later prayed for the peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.  They also performed traditional Pooja in three Shiv Temples in Utterbehni including Abhimukteshwar Temple. Later, M.K Ajatshatru Singh also visited Peer Kho Temple in Jammu and performed Special Pooja.

M.K Ajatshatru Singh said that Lord Shiva will also bless the Union Territory of J&K with peace, tranquility and prosperity to ensure quality life for the residents of the region. He said the Trust has ensured foolproof arrangements for devotees on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri. He said the Trust has taken a lot of pain in ensuring that no devotee faces inconvenience with regard to basic facilities, cleanliness and other amenities.

On this auspicious occasion, several VIPs including Mayor Rajinder Sharma, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar, Commissioner Secretary Sanjeev Verma, ADGP Mukesh Singh, Commissioner Secretary Planning Raghav Langer, Achal Sethi, Secretary, Law Department, J&K Govt, along with his wife, Arun Gupta, President CCI Jammu and several others visited Shree Ranbireshwar Temple in Jammu and performed special Pooja arranged by the Dharmarth Trust.

The visiting dignitaries praised the arrangements made by the Dharmarth Trust J&K in connection with Mahashivratri Festival.

Trust’s Secretary Ashok Kumar, SSP Retd, visited various Shiv Temples in Jammu district aiming to look after the arrangements made for devotees.

Varinder Jamwal, Additional Secretary and other staff of Dharmarth Trust were also present on the occasion.
