Maiden 15 Day Internship Skill Programme on BSE-Mutual Fund concludes at GDC Marh

63 students attend certificate training program on Mutual Fund

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 24: Valedictory function of Maiden 15 day Internship Skill Programme on BSE-Mutual Fund, organized by IQAC and Department of Commerce of Govt. Degree College Marh, Jammu in collaboration with Bombay Stock Exchange institution Limited concluded today. The certificate training programme on Mutual Funds  was held to impart 360 degree Financial Training and Skills to the students and make them job ready for a successful career in the financial sector.

 The Bombay Stock Exchange Institution Limited being one the largest financial education providers, focuses on developing skills for employability by education and training young talent so that they turn out to be innovation driven entrepreneurs and market leaders.

A batch of 63 students attended the internship programme free of cost and was exuberated with the new version of them as confident, empowered, passionate, worthy and purposeful being.

On the Valedictory day, Principal of college Prof (Dr.) Rakesh Kumar Koul applauded the efforts of the organizing committee Dr. Sheetal, Convenor (HOD Dogri), Dr. Asha Rani HOD commerce, Dr. Sheetal Verma HOD Economics,  Shifali Karloopia and  Anil Sharma from department of Commerce for organizing such a pragmatic internship skill programme (2 November – 22 November 2023) that is in conformity with the National Education Policy 2020.

Principal of college  congratulated all the students and thanked resource person   Anmol K Gupta for imparting such a skill training free of cost, which will significantly contribute to the knowledge of students and will give them an edge in the job market. Graduates having the certification can work as Business Development Manager/Relationship Manager/Advisors for the marketing and distribution of the mutual fund schemes.

Report of the whole programme was presented by Kashish student of semester III and helped by Abhay Singh Jamwal of sem I, where the topics discussed during the programme were highlighted Viz a Viz. Day 1 Investment Landscape, Day 2 Concept and Role of Mutual Funds, Day 3 Explanation of Categories of Mutual Funds, Day 4 Legal Structure of Mutual Funds in India, Day 5 Legal and Regulatory framework, Day 6 Fund Distribution and Channel Management Practices, Day 7 Fund Distribution and  Channel Management Practices and Risk Return and Performance of Fund, Day 8 Schemes Related Information Part –A/Part B, Day 9 Risk Return and Fund Performance & Taxation, Day 9 Risk Return and Fund Performance and Taxation, Day 10 Recapitulation Class and In the remaining five days financial distribution of products, corporate structure, funding process, financial planning companies etc were also discussed.  Feedback session held in the end where feedback forms were distributed to all the students.

The resource person was honoured by presenting a memento by Prof Imtiaz Shahid (HOD Zoology) and appreciation certificate by Prof.Dr.Rakesh Kumar Koul.  Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Sheetal HOD Dogri. Refreshments were served to students.
