Asks party cadre to counter anti-people policies of Mamata Govt

JAMMU June 8: Bharatiya HOOGHLY (WEST BENGAL): Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, J&K, Kavinder Gupta on Thursday accused the West Bengal’s Mamata Banerjee Government of being involved in neck deep corruption claiming that number of ministers of the aforesaid state government are facing serious charges of corruption.

The BJP stalwart leader from Jammu said this while addressing a press conference along with local MP Locket Chatterji, District President Tushar Kumar, Mazoom Dar and Cluster Incharge Debatanu Bhattacharjee at District party office in Hooghly.

Kavinder said that people here are troubled with the rampant corruption in the system with the Mamata Banerjee government doing nothing to contain this menace. “Instead of taking steps to combat corruption, several ministers of the West Bengal Government have been indulging in deep-rooted corruption and many are facing charges with central probing agencies investigating their evil deeds to unravel the truth and expose their misdeeds.  He named three ministers of the Mamata Government namely Ayan Seal, Kuntal Gyosh Shantanu Banerjee, who have been lodged in dungeons on corruption charges showing the pathetic situation created by the West Bengal dispensation.

The senior BJP functionary from J&K also pointed out that Chinsurah from Hooghly Municipality is also on CBI radar as a raid has been carried on this man to reveal the truth behind corruption committed on ground.

Kavinder said that on one side, there is a most corrupt dispensation in Bengal and on the other the Centre-led by PM Narendra Modi has transformed the country in the last nine years with colossal development taking place in every nook and corner of the country. He said that there is no doubt in the line ‘Nau Saal Bemisaal’ because the BJP government has accomplished so many things in the last nine years which the successive governments cannot accomplish even in ninety years.

Later, Kavinder Gupta visited City Club near Chinsurah Bus Stand and met Social Influencers. He asked them to play an important role in highlighting the policies and key achievements of the Modi Govt in the last nine years.

Thereafter, Kavinder visited Kendriya Vidyalaya at Bandel which was constructed by the Modi Govt.

Kavinder Gupta along with MP Locket Chatterji and others visited Bandel Railway Station which has Asia’s largest interlocking system. This railway station has been constructed by Modi Govt by spending massive Rs 600 crore. Bandel Junction is one of the important stations of Howrah division handling a large number of trains

Kavinder said that to overcome limitations of the old signaling system of this railway station, the centre has come up with a modern state of art technology system of signaling. He said that the aforesaid signaling system is the largest signalling system in the world. 

Subsequently, Kavinder addressed Morcha Sanjukta Sammelan at Party’s District Office Hooghly. He asked the party workers to be in touch with the public and counter the anti-people policies of WB Govt headed by Mamata Banerjee.
