Man arrested with narcotics in Rajouri’s Manjakote; FIR lodged
In a swift action against drug peddling, Rajouri Police arrested a local youth from the Manjakote area with a consignment of narcotics.

The arrest was made by a team from Manjakote Police Station during a routine naka checking at Rajdhani Chowk. The police team noticed a suspicious individual approaching from the Saroola area who tried to flee upon seeing them. The Naka party chased and apprehended the suspect.
The detainee identified himself as Mohd Yasir, son of Mohd Taj, a resident of Saroola village in Manjakote. A search of his person led to the recovery of 3.4 grams of a substance suspected to be heroin.
Based on the recovery, a case (FIR No. 29/2024) under sections 8, 21, and 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused.
The arrest has been made by a police team of Police Station Manjakote led by SHO Manjakote.
