Manoj Sinha leads the 47th Shri Amarnath Shrine Board meeting

Srinagar, August 23:The 47th board meeting of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) was presided over by Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today at Raj Bhawan.

Honourable members of the Shrine Board, including Prof. Vishwamurti Shastri, Shri D.C. Raina, Smt. Kailash Mehra Sadhu, Shri K. N. Rai, and Dr. Shailesh Raina, were present at the meeting. The Hon’ble Lt Governor chaired the Board meeting, which expressed gratitude to all parties involved for the smooth execution of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, including the Civil Administration, Jammu & Kashmir Police, Army, CAPFs, Disaster Response Forces, Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, health and sanitation personnel, and service providers.At the Holy Cave of Shri Amarnath ji, more than 5.12 lakh pilgrims had darshan this year. In the previous twelve years, this is the highest Yatra figure. The Board deliberated on diverse interventions and suggested actions to enhance the amenities and provisions for the followers even more.

The board members offered insightful comments on the items on the agenda that were presented at the meeting. They also applauded the Shrine Board and other line departments and agencies for their numerous pilgrim-focused initiatives during this year’s yatra, as well as improved crowd control and queue management, as well as the successful implementation of Aadhaar-based registration
