Mansoor Hussain Soharwardy Laments Power Crises During Ramadan
SRINAGAR, April 04: The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference (JKPC) General Secretary, Mansoor Hussain Soharwardy, has expressed deep concern over the power crises during the holy month of Ramadan in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that despite assurances from Divisional Commissioner Kashmir that there will be no unscheduled power cuts, many people are facing prolonged power cuts that are causing great inconvenience and suffering during the fasting month.
“Power outages are unacceptable, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan when people are fasting and need to have uninterrupted access to electricity. The government should take immediate action to ensure that people have a consistent and reliable supply of electricity during sehri and iftar, especially in villages where the infrastructure is less developed”, he said.
Mansoor Soharwardy urged the government to prioritize the electricity needs of the people during Ramadan and ensure that power is supplied without any disruption, especially during the times when people are breaking their fast.
He further stated that the government should take immediate steps to address the power crises and ensure that people have access to electricity during Ramadan. He expressed hope that the government would take prompt action to address the issue and alleviate the suffering of the people.
