Market checking drive in Gool, Banihal: Rs 10500 fine recovered from erring traders

RAMBAN, April 15: In view of the ongoing Holy month of Ramzan, the enforcement agencies intensified market checking drives  in Ramban  district on the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Mussarat Islam.

An extensive market checking drive was conducted by a joint team of FCS&CA Department, Revenue Department along with Police Department in Banihal and Gool Market. The Team recovered Rs 10500 fine recovered on the spot from erring shopkeepers, vegetable and fruit vendors etc.

The inspection team checked the quality of food and edible products like milk and milk products, sweets, meat, chicken, fruits and vegetables.

They also destroyed spoiled fruits and vegetables. All the shopkeepers and vendors were directed to maintain hygiene and quality of eatables and also ensure display of price list of the commodities.
