Massive rally amid Drum Beating, Slogans energise Voter awareness in Border areas of Hiranagar

KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 13: The Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign in AC 68 Hiranagar took a dynamic turn today as students, Women participants, BAG members, and farmers joined a massive rally to spread voter awareness in the villages of Londi and Panjgrain.


A spree of events was hosted under the supervision of AC Nodal Officer Priya Lakshmi (CDPO Hiranagar).


The rally, highlighted by drum beats and enthusiastic slogans, aimed to educate the community about the upcoming elections and encourage voter participation.


Participants engaged with passersby in Matadors, vehicles, and those working in nearby shops and fields, urging them to exercise their voting rights on polling day. The rally was a resounding success, securing promises from the public to visit the polling stations and cast their votes.


At Government High School (GHS) Sherpur, a Nukkad Natak was presented to emphasize the importance of voting. Anganwadi workers also performed a skit, driving home the message of not missing the opportunity to vote.


In addition, a voter pledge and painting competition were organized at GHS Mela and GHS Chadwal to deepen the commitment to democratic traditions.

SVEEP activities were held at a micro-level in polling stations across Londi, Marheen A, and Chann Khtrian, reinforcing the significance of every vote.


As part of the women voters’ empowerment initiative, an awareness campaign was also conducted at Banna Chak and Panjgrain, focusing on active participation of women in the electoral process.


The day’s activities marked a significant step in ensuring maximum voter turnout in the upcoming elections, promoting a culture of active civic participation across the constituency.
