Measures for smooth traffic flow reviewed at Kulgam

KULGAM, AUGUST 05: In order to discuss and finalize the measures and steps for smooth traffic flow in the district, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Viqar Ahmed Giri today chaired a meeting of concerned Officers, here.

The meeting held threadbare discussion on various issues including management of the traffic system in the district and making the town more beautiful.

Requisite measures were discussed threadbare to overcome traffic jams and ensure better regulation of traffic.

The ADC instructed concerned to utilize parking zones near Qazigund and Shopain Addas properly. He also instructed ARTO, Traffic and Police department and other concerned to work in close coordination and act tough against traffic rules violators, who cause a lot of inconvenience to common people.

He directed the officers to conduct a massive enforcement drive against wrong parking and roadside encroachments in town, besides other required measures to decongest roads in town to ensure smooth flow of traffic.

The meeting was attended by Tehsildar Kulgam, Dy-SP Traffic, ARTO, EO Kulgam and other officers and stakeholders.
