Medical agency sealed in Rajouri, 2 brothers detained

RAJOURI, 11 June 2023: Wholesale medical agency dealing with the sale of medicinal drugs has been sealed while 2 persons have been detained as around 110 strips of tablets were recovered from it without any record raising suspicion of use of these tablets in drug abuse.

Police team alongwith Drugs Inspector Mohammad Shakoor raided a medical agency namely Brothers Agency dealing with wholesale medicinal drugs.

During inspection and verification of premises, 110 strips of drugs (Tapendadol) were recovered having no required details about the purchase, or sale raising suspicion of use of this drug in abuse.

Taking note of it, the said medical agency has been sealed as per the law.

2 persons running the establishment have been detained including Zafer Iqbal and his brother Mohammad Rafi son of Abdul Rashid, residents of Ward 6, Salani Rajouri.

The complex has been sealed while further legal proceedings have been taken up by police in association with the Drugs Inspector.
